1.Choose a question subject

Getting answers

After you submit your question, you will be prompted to select the number of points you're willing to reward for the right answer. Choose whether you want a rush response (within 90 minutes) or a normal response (within 4 hours). Chegg will calculate the probability of your question being answered in time based on difficulty and points to be awarded. You can offer more points to increase the probability of your question being answered in your selected response time. You will receive a notification email once your question is answered, and you can additionally post comments to your question as well as to anyone who responds to your question.

The points you offer are immediately deducted from your account. If you do not receive an answer within your selected response time frame, your points will be credited back to your account. Points allow you to rush your response, increase the visibility of your question to other Chegg members, and receive more expert answers (the more points you offer, the more responses you will receive). Points can also be redeemed for rewards.

Answering questions and earning rewards

You can earn Chegg Points by answering user-submitted questions, then redeem those points to ask your own questions or to earn rewards such as gift cards, computers, and gadgets (see all rewards).

To answer questions, log into your account and click the “Q&A” tab. On the “My Q&A” screen, click the “Need Answers” tab. You will see a list of questions that need answered, along with points offered and time left to answer. You can also filter your results by subject of expertise. If you see a question you can answer, click the “Answer it” button. If your answer is accepted, you will be awarded the points.

Does Chegg Homework Help really work?

After reviewing the Chegg Homework Help service, Direct Textbook decided to give it a try. We signed up for the free 7-day trial and asked a Sociology question.

The number of points to offer for a answer to our question ranged between 300 and 3,000. We decided to offer 300 points, and Chegg predicted the probably of receiving an accurate answer to be 45% for a rushed answer and 63% for a normal response. We selected a normal response and received responses within minutes of posting our question. However, none of the submitted responses directly answered our question. They did provide valuable information that would have helped us formulate our own answer. We are also confident that subjects such as Math and Chemistry would provide better answers since most of the questions are less subjective.

Does Chegg Homework Help really work? Even though we didn't receive an accurate answer to our question, the millions of solutions in the Chegg database as well as the large expert user base makes Chegg Homework Help a viable option for college students to quickly get the answers they need. Add in the free trial, and simply trying Chegg Homework Help is risk-free – so long as you get the right answer.
